This woodpecker came to life in my hands with unusual precision. Every feather and every tiny groove on its beak carries a trace of care and patience. I wanted to capture not only the bird itself but its rhythm, that steady heartbeat against the tree, the stubborn joy of work and focus.
The glaze moves from warm ochres to soft blue tones, a meeting of forest bark and morning air. It feels almost alive, as if it might tilt its head or take another step.
An entirely hand-sculpted and hand-painted piece, rich in detail and mood. One of those rare moments when the clay simply agrees with you.
