Lammasu were once considered mighty protectors of gates and temples, half divine, half beast. Their appearance was described in many ways, shifting from the body of a lion to that of a bull, always crowned with the face of a man and wings of an eagle. Some were feared as monsters, others worshipped as helping gods.
Mine will not fight. It will not roar or fly into battle. It will simply stay by your side and remind you to stand your ground, as long as you are on the right side.
It keeps the memory of power, but carries it quietly. The beard, the calm eyes, the single pale-blue wing tell the story of courage turned gentle, of strength learning kindness.
A hand-sculpted ceramic figure, made for those who prefer calm allies to loud heroes.
ca 13 cm length
